Overkill n. the capacity of a nuclear weapon stockpile to kill many times the total of an enemy population

    1. I was surprised, too. That's why I picked it. I expect other dictionaries have more expansive definitions, but I guess that's how the word was coined. Apparently we've used it so often in recent years that it's become, ah, overkill...
